At University of Ostrava, we highly value our international colleagues and their families and want them to feel welcome, safe, and comfortable here. That is why we have launched the new Welcome Office project, as a part of Human Resources Management Center, designed to provide a comprehensive support system for employees coming from abroad.

The Welcome Office includes a practical information website, interactive My eBuddy Guide and the support from a dedicated university team who can help them navigate not only the work environment, but also everyday life in the Czech Republic. To make it easier to submit requests, a help desk has also been set up at welcomeoffice@helpdesk.osu.cz

The goal of the project is to make the first months after arrival easier and to provide international employees with a reliable support network they can turn to whenever needed. The Welcome Office offers, as a part of Human Resources Management Center, designed to provide a comprehensive support system for employees coming from abroad.

The project was created by a team of experts across the university who recognized the need for more systematic support for international colleagues. Welcome Office is another important step toward making the University of Ostrava an open, friendly, and truly international environment.
